New Member Application
Welcome to UW Credit Union, and thank you for choosing us for your financial needs.
To better serve you today, we would like to start by gathering some basic information. Then a Financial Specialist will personally assist you with customizing your financial package and setting up your new accounts with UW Credit Union.
Here's what you'll need:
-
Government-Issued Photo ID
- Driver's License, State-Issued ID, Military ID, or Passport
- Permanent Resident Card or Matricula Consular of Mexico
- Know your Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number
- ITIN Documentation, if applicable (new members only)
- Funds to open your account ($5 minimum)
- Download our app and you can add your debit card to a digital wallet and start using your account right away.
Note: All joint applicants must be with you when you open your account, and they will also need proof of identity.
To help our government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person when opening a new account.
What does this mean for you? When you open a new account, we will ask your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will help us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identification.
